About

A two-person studio in Jupiter.

Jupiter Coastal Media is Kyle and Chloe Romero. We build websites for small businesses on this coast and shoot the photography, video and licensed aerials that go inside them — and we photograph listings, one property at a time.

Why we started

One team builds the site and shoots everything inside it.

We kept running into the same split on this coast: a website built by someone who never saw the business, filled with pictures taken by someone who never saw the website. Both halves end up compromised, and the owner is the one stuck coordinating them.

So we do both. We build the site, and we originate every image that goes in it. Between us we bring over a decade of combined business experience and two MBAs, which decides the order we work in — we ask what a page is supposed to accomplish before we lay it out, and what an image has to sell before we shoot it.

We write the code ourselves, custom-built rather than a template with your logo dropped in. One of our own projects, Setup Gear Guide, is a from-scratch web app with interactive setup builders, real-time compatibility checks and a searchable database of 1,200+ products. The same engineering goes into a five-page site for a restaurant.

Kyle holds the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate

Kyle is the pilot, and every aerial frame on this site was flown by him. Where a location sits in controlled airspace we file for authorization before the shoot, usually through LAANC, rather than on the morning of it. A few locations cannot be flown at all — we say so before you book.

The Team

Kyle & Chloe Romero

Husband and wife, and the entire studio. When you hire us, these are the two people who show up.

Kyle writes the code, runs the camera and flies the drone. He also built Jupiter Coastal Living — our own guide to eating and drinking in Jupiter — shoots the photography in it, and keeps it current.

Chloe co-founded the studio with Kyle and works the business side of it: what a project is actually meant to accomplish, what it costs, and what we commit to before we take it on.

How we work

Three things we decided up front.

01

We think like operators

Two MBAs and over a decade of combined business experience. Before a page gets designed we ask what it is supposed to accomplish for the business — and we say so when something you asked for won't do it.

02

One brief, one look

The site and the images come from the same two people. No handoff between whoever lays out a page and whoever shoots the picture that fills it. One brief, one invoice, one number to call.

03

Priced in public

Every line item is published. Nothing is billed by the hour. You buy a defined set of deliverables at a defined price, which is the only way to compare two quotes honestly.

Where we are

We're new, and we'd rather say so.

This studio is new. That means no wall of client logos, no review count, no case studies we have not earned. Anyone can buy those; we would rather you judge us on what is actually ours.

What is ours: Jupiter Coastal Living, a live guide to eating and drinking in Jupiter that we built, shoot and keep current — the clearest proof we can offer honestly, because the people who wrote the code took every picture on the page. And the photography itself, shot on location here: Topside at the Beacon and Lucky Shuck at Love Street, Jupiter Grill at Harbourside Place, Lynora's at Alton, Calaveras Cantina.

Those restaurants are photography subjects, not website clients. We shot them; we did not build their sites, and we will not imply otherwise. The first client case study goes up when there is one.

Where we work

Jupiter, and the coast around it.

We live here, so a shoot is a short drive rather than a travel line on an invoice. It also means we can come back — for the new menu, the remodel, the listing that goes live on a Tuesday — without turning it into a production.

Our Work

Every frame here came out of our camera or our drone. The restaurants and properties are photography subjects — not website clients.

FAQ

About Jupiter Coastal Media

Ask a Question
Who is Jupiter Coastal Media?

Jupiter Coastal Media is a two-person web and media studio in Jupiter, Florida, founded by Kyle and Chloe Romero. We build websites for small businesses and shoot the photography, video and aerial work that goes inside them, and we shoot real estate photography on listings — priced per property. Between us we hold two MBAs and over a decade of combined business experience. Kyle holds the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

Where is Jupiter Coastal Media based?

We're based in Jupiter, Florida, and serve Jupiter & Palm Beach County — Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Tequesta, Juno Beach, North Palm Beach, Abacoa, West Palm Beach and the rest of the county.

Who actually does the work?

Kyle and Chloe. The studio is the two of us, so the person who builds your site is the person who shoots the pictures in it, and the person you call when the menu changes or a listing goes live.

How long have you been in business?

The studio is new. Our business background is not: two MBAs and over a decade of combined business experience between us. We would rather tell you that plainly than pad a company history you cannot check.

Is Jupiter Coastal Media licensed to fly a drone commercially?

Kyle Romero is. He holds the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and is the only pilot in the studio, so every aerial frame on this site and every billed flight is his. Chloe does not hold a Part 107 certificate and does not fly. How we handle controlled airspace and LAANC authorizations is spelled out on the small business page.

Can I see your work?

Yes, with one honest caveat. The photography is real and ours — Topside at the Beacon and Lucky Shuck at Love Street, Jupiter Grill at Harbourside Place, Lynora's at Alton, Calaveras Cantina — but those are photography subjects, not website clients, and we will not present them as anything else. For a full site we built, shoot for and run, look at Jupiter Coastal Living. The first client case study gets published when there is one.

Let's Work Together

Tell us what your business looks like online right now.

Send us your site — or the fact that you don't have one yet — and what you sell. We'll come back with what we would build, what we would shoot, and what it costs.
